…I sighed with the dust of the earth, gentle and soft. The sky bent around me, and the cacti towered overhead… watching me… I felt uneasy… my stomach lurched and I purged what ailed me, spilling a mess of impurities at my hands. What a wreck I had been, I see this now.
A presence was felt… I look up to see him, wrapped in the rays of the dying sun. He holds up a tiny stone and places it in my open palm… and dies with the sun. I died with the sun that evening too; turquoise in hand.
Side note:
I had no idea what color the plugs and stone he’s holding would be ( I didn’t even intend for it to be a stone, didn’t know what it would turn out to be as I drew it…). But as I was coloring the rest of the image, the color turquoise popped in my head.
So I searched for the symbolism of turquoise;
“It is an excellent token of protection for physical and astral travel and vision quests, during which it acts as a grounding force, strengthening the user against fear of the unknown by enhancing one’s feelings of trust, kindness, wisdom and understanding. It can ward off strong negativity and protect from the evil eye, reptile bites and diseases of the eye.”
“New Age followers believe Turquoise attunes the physical to the higher realms, balances the mind and soul and connects with all life.”
After finding that, I knew it was meant to be turquoise… And he is giving it to you. Take it.
